Jamshedpur, March 15: Jamshedpur Jewelers� Association, which kept their shops closed for the 14th straight day on Tuesday against the 1 percent excise duty imposed on gold, organized a blood donation camp at Red Cross Bhawan in Sakchi.
Several jewelers donated blood at the event which witnessed collection of 114 units. Later in the evening, the agitating jewelers held a meeting in Bistupur and decided to stage a demonstration on Wednesday.
They also decided to take out a bike rally from Bistupur and walk up to Mango, Adityapur and Parsudih regions and inform the traders about the ill effects of excise duty and further protests.
Ranjit Burman of Gems and Jewelry Association informed that a Sundarkand path will be held in Jugsalai on Wednesday evening.
