Jamshedpur, April 29: A delegation of activists of Janata Dal (United) gave a memorandum to East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav on Friday to demand reduction in school fees.
The agitators alleged that many private schools in the city had increased school fees in a whimsical manner with the sole aim of exploiting the parents. They said the district administration should intervene and direct the private schools against hiking the school fees in the larger interest of children. They said the parents were already facing financial crisis after Covid pandemic. The schools should not be allowed to exploit the parents, they said.
