GVK Cricket Academy and Telco Cricket Coaching Center register win
Jamshedpur, April 18: Inter Cricket Training Center Under-19 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated at Telco Cricket Ground on Monday, April 18. Eight teams from Jamshedpur (Telco Cricket Coaching Society, GVK Cricket Academy, Dalma Cricket Academy, Cable Welfare Association, Cable Cricket Academy, Kadma Cricket Academy, Ghatshila Cricket Academy and Jharkhand Cricket Academy) are participating in the tournament. Two matches were played on opening day.
Rajat Kumar Singh, Head – Town Administration and Achintya Singh, Head – CSR, Tata Motors were chief guests at the inaugural function. Also present were Ashish Ranjan Sen, Senior Manager, Town Admin and G.B. Singh, Executive (Sports).
The first match of the day was played between GVK Cricket Academy and Cable Welfare Association. Cable Welfare Association won the toss and elected to bat and they scored 88/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing 89 to win GVK Cricket Academy achieved the target with 9 overs to spare and eight wickets in hand.
Master Mohit Mishra of GVK Cricket Academy bagged the Man of the Match for his 18 ball 24.
The second match of the day was played between Telco Cricket Coaching Society and Dalma Cricket Academy. Telco Cricket Coaching Center scored 171/4 in 20 overs after winning the toss. In reply Dalma Cricket Coaching Center only managed to score 104/8 in 20 overs. Telco Cricket Coaching Center won the match by 67 runs.
Master Durgesh Kumar of Telco Cricket Coaching Centre was awarded Man of the Match for scoring 49 runs of 42 balls and taking 2 wickets. The final match of the tournament will be played on April 27.
