Jamshedpur: IG directs to complete pending work before March 15

Seraikela, January 18: Jharkhand police Inspector General (Ranchi zone) Pankaj Kamboj held an annual review meeting at Seraikela police headquarters on Wednesday. 

The senior police official issued guidelines to the concerned police officers based on the information received from the district police. 

Instructions were given to the SP to complete all the incomplete work and update the file by March 15. The IG said that apart from the execution of the case, instructions have also been given to update the hooligan register and prepare a list of criminals. The IG said that strict instructions have been given to prepare entries for cases like molestation of women including drug entry, illegal liquor entry.

Pankaj Kamboj told that people involved in Naxal activities will be monitored by preparing database of last 15 years, instructions have been given to keep a special eye on the Naxalites who have surrendered or the cases in which trial is going on and monitoring their activities. The district police and CRPF have been directed to keep a special eye on the Naxal movement in the district.

On the issue of Adityapur police station area turning into a drugs hub,  Pankaj Kamboj said that the SP would monitor and take action to crack down on drug peddlers. The process of surveillance will be started after obtaining permission from the Deputy Commissioner.
