Jamshedpur, September 26:Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has cancelled the house allotment of 1937 selected beneficiaries of Birsanagar Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
An amount of Rs 20,000 was not deposited as the first installment to these beneficiaries. Apart from the notice, JNAC also organized a loan fair, but the beneficiaries did not deposit the amount. After this, the house allotment of 1937 selected beneficiaries has been cancelled.
These beneficiaries had registered by depositing Rs 5,000 each. It has come to light that due to the use of black bricks in housing construction and difficulties in getting loans from banks, the beneficiaries have backed out.
A total of 5,384 beneficiaries were selected for the PM Awas Yojana in Birsanagar in three phases. Houses were allotted to 3836 beneficiaries in the first phase, 852 in the second phase and 696 in the third phase by the committee formed under the chairmanship of DC. A total of 9592 houses are to be constructed in 32 blocks in Birsaganar. 9,592 houses are being constructed in 32 blocks in Birsanagar by JUDCO (Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company Limited) at a cost of Rs 705 crore.
The cancelled houses will be allotted to other beneficiaries. After cancelling the allotment of 1937 beneficiaries, the houses will be allotted to other applicants. For the allotment of PM’s residence being built in Birsanagar, the application form is being given from room number 7 of the JNAC Office. The application form is being distributed during office hours from Monday to Saturday. Allotment will be done through lottery soon.
These documents are required along with the application. A certificate of being a resident of JNAC area before June 17, 2015 is required. Apart from this, voter ID card, bank account, income certificate of three lakh or less, copy of Aadhar card of all the family members is necessary. Registration will have to be done by paying Rs 5000 in the concerned bank. It must be clearly mentioned in the registration book that the applicant is interested in taking accommodation in Birsa Nagar project.
A total of 9592 houses are to be constructed in 32 blocks as per the G+ 8 structure of the affordable housing project being built in Birsanagar under Component-3 of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). In which till now the construction work of total 7372 houses has been started. That means construction of 2220 houses has not been started yet. The reason for this is encroachment on the proposed site.
City banks lagged behind in giving loans to the beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana. Except for Canara Bank Bistupur branch, the attitude of other banks appeared indifferent. Whereas a loan fair was organized at the Birsanagar scheme site on July 11 to provide loans to the beneficiaries of PM Awas.
House warming will be done in Diwali to the beneficiaries who have paid two installments. Those beneficiaries of Birsanagar PM Awas whose first installment of Rs 20 thousand and second installment of Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand 500 have been deposited. Preparations are underway for his house warming during Diwali. Presently 1500 houses are to be completed.
