Jamshedpur, Feb 9: A violent clash between two groups of people took place in Block No 4 of Shastrinagar under Kadma police station area on Thursday. One Rohit Singh was injured in the incident. He was rescued by local residents who sent him to MGM Hospital. Rohit sustained severe head injury in the incident, sources said.
Rohit told cops he was sitting on the riverbank with his friend Rajeev when one of the accused Akash reached there with his two friends.
“The accused persons held sharp weapons in their hands. Akash’s brother attacked me with a stone on his head following an old dispute,” Rohit said.
The accused persons denied the allegations and said Rohit Singh was a person with criminal bent of mind. He said Rohit had squatted over government land and that he often created ruckus near their house.
