Jamshedpur, Sept 7: The ground breaking ceremony (Bhumi Pujan) for the construction of Sri-Sri Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee of Tuiladungri pandal was performed on Thursday by priests Niranjan Rath and Pradip Kumar Das. The proceedings were led by the President of the East Singhbhum District Youth Congress Committee, Niraj Singh. The puja committee’s Chief Patron, Raju Giri, President Mithilesh Singh Yadav and Secretary Dinesh Kumar jointly performed the prayers under the guidance of the two priests. Dinesh Kumar informed that this puja, which had previously gained fame as the first Odia Puja in the city. “It is now known for its grandeur and is celebrated with various themes and social messages. The pandal attracts people from all corners of the city and the countryside, and a grand fair is also organized. This year, the pandal will convey a new message to the city.”
The pandal gates will be opened to the public on Panchami.
Among dignitaries present on the occasion were Raju Giri, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Dinesh Kumar, Rajkumar Singh and B Srinivas Rao.
