Jamshedpur: Students from Sacred Heart Convent School (SHCS), Jamshedpur, brought laurels to the city by securing top positions at the prestigious CISCE National Yoga Olympiad 2026. The national competition was hosted at the Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School in Sidhpur, Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) from May 23 to May 25, 2026.
Demonstrating exceptional flexibility, balance, and mental focus, the Jamshedpur contingent competed against top yoga practitioners from CISCE-affiliated schools across the country.
Among the standout performers, Devnistha Mondal, a student of Class 8 B, clinched the 2nd position in the highly competitive Category 1A (Junior Girls, 10–14 years age group).
In the Senior Girls division (Category 2A, 14–17 years age group), Debashmita Chakraborty of Class 9 A delivered a stellar performance to secure the 3rd position nationwide.
Adding to the school’s success, Vedanshi Gupta of Class 7 A finished strong by securing the 6th position in Category 1A (Junior Girls).
The school management, teachers, and parents congratulated the students on their remarkable national-level achievements, praising their dedication to the discipline of yoga and their success in putting Jamshedpur on the national sports map.
