Jamshedpur girl wins gold at All India Karate Championship

Jamshedpur, July 19: Yashasvi Yadav of Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) bagged two medals in the All India Karate Championship 2022 organized by the Karate Association of India and Chhattisgarh Olympic Association at Indoor Stadium State Training Centre, Bilaspur on 15-16 July.

Karateka Yashasvi won gold medal in Kumite and bronze medal in Kata in the Under 10 category of the tournament approved by the Karate Association of India.

Yashasvi was part of Tata Steel Karate Training Centre cadets that won total nine medals including four gold, two silver and three bronze.

NHES Principal, Paramita Roy Chaudhary expressed delight at Yashasvi’s performance saying, “I am very happy and congratulate Yashasvi on her success. My blessings are with her for future endeavours.”

Yashasvi’s coach Niraj Kumar said, “She is a focused student and follows instructions carefully. I am sure she will scale great heights in life.”     

Altogether 2200 participants from across 27 states participated in the championship.
