Jamshedpur girl Himani Das is third Jharkhand topper in ISC Science, scores 99 per cent

Jamshedpur, July 24: Himani Das of Loyola School has become the third state topper by scoring 99 per cent marks in Science stream in the ISC 12th Board Exam. She is also the city topper. She had expected to get 97 per cent marks, but was surprised to get 99 per cent marks.

For Himani, last two years of Covid pandemic were difficult. She aspires to join BITS Pilani for further studies. This year, her performance in the IIT JEE was not satisfactory. She will drop this year and prepare for the next year.

Himani’s father Sanjeev Das is a contractor at Tata Steel and her mother Bulbuli is a homemaker. She resides at Teachers Colony, Bhalubasa. She attributes her success to the support extended by her parents and teachers. She is also very active on social media.
