Jamshedpur gets new park in Sonari

New Kagalnagar Park boasts of walking track, open gym  

Jamshedpur, Jan 13: Tata Steel today dedicated another park to the citizens of Jamshedpur.

New Kagalnagar Park was inaugurated at Sonari by State Health and Family welfare minister Banna Gupta.

The New Kagalnagar Park is situated near the Sonari Gurudwara. It has a total area of 4788.0 Sqm with a walking track of 700 Sqm. The park has an open gym with 18 equipment like Aerial Stoller, Abs board double, Shoulder twirl double, Surf board, Shoulder exerciser, Double parallel bar, Ovate stepper, Leg stretch, Aero rider, Leg Extension, Ipt Upg Chest Press Double, Forearm Twirl Double, Hip Twister Triple, Circular Pull Up Station, Crystal Maze, S Bridge Ladder, Set Bonny Exercise Bike and IPT UPG Hand Rower.

There is a 120 Watt high mast for illumination along with other lighting arrangements. The park also has play areas, washroom/toilet facilities and 15 garden benches

The park is adorned with a variety of trees like Mimusops elengi (Bakul), Lagerstroemia speciosa (Jarul), Chrysalidocarpus lutescens (Areca Palm), Polyscias balfouriana (Balfour aralia).

New Kagalnagar Park will be open in the morning from 6:00am to 8:00am and in the evening from 4:00pm to 8:00pm

Also present during the inauguration ceremony were Chitranjan Verma, Representative from office of Jamshedpur MP, Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel, Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director, Tata Steel UISL, Dhananjay Mishra, Sr General Manager ( Jharkhand Business ), Raghunath Pandey, President, JSU, senior officials and members of Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL along with the local residents of Sonari.
