Jamshedpur, March 19: Steel City will witness a grand Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra on 21st March. The Yatra will start at Dimna, Mango and conclude at Aam Bagan ground (Subhash Maidan). This was announced here on Sunday by Ram Babu Tiwary, president of Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra organizing committee at a press conference in a hotel at Sakchi on Sunday.
“Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra has turned into a grand event for the Hindus of the city. This will continue to be organized every year. The day of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada is the first day of the Hindu calendar. It is the day when Lord Brahma created the Shrishti. This is a time when plants start getting new buds and the nature gets a new lease of life. Lord Vishnu’s first avatar also came into existence on this day. It is a day of great significance for all Hindus and Indians,” said Tiwary.
Tiwary appealed to all youths to take pride in the Hindu culture and civilization. “Today’s generation should know about the Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. Sadly they know about the English New Year but do not know that they are Sanatanis and that the Hindu calendar starts on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. All our auspicious events are organized as per Vikram Samvat,” he said. Tiwary urged the people of the city to participate in the upcoming event and reaffirm their faith in the Hindu culture. “We hope that this Hindu Nav Varsh Yatra succeeds in bringing together all citizens and brings a feeling of pride in them. All Santanis should unite and participate in the Yatra. The Yatra would be organized in a disciplined manner as per the route fixed by the district administration. Thousands of people are expected to attend the event. BJP state organizing general secretary Karmavir Jee and senior Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh Dr Suman Jee will be addressing the participants of the event, said Tiwary.
