Jamshedpur gears up for grand Ram Navami celebrations

Jamshedpur, March 28: The Central Ramnavami Akhara Committee convened a significant meeting on Thursday, led by President Ashutosh Singh, to strategize and plan for the upcoming Ram Navami Mahotsav. Held at Sakchi’s Utkal Association auditorium, the meeting witnessed the participation of officials from the committee alongside presidents and members representing 187 licensed Akhara committees and 6 non-licensed Akhara committees across the city.

During the meeting, a unanimous decision was reached to celebrate the Ram Navami festival with grandeur and fervor, including a massive procession. Plans were laid out for elaborate processions from various arenas across the city, with each Akhara Committee tasked to organize peaceful and well-coordinated processions in their respective areas.

In collaboration with the district administration, an action plan was devised to ensure the successful and peaceful execution of the Ram Navami festival. It was decided that this year’s festivities would commence on April 9th, 2024, and culminate on April 18th, 2024, with Vijayadashami.

The meeting was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Chief Patron Chandragupta Singh and Patrons Shambhunath Singh, Rambabu Tiwari, Neeraj Singh, and others, who emphasized the significance of celebrating Ram Navami amidst the current backdrop of heightened enthusiasm due to the construction of the grand temple of Ramlala at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

Patron Rambabu Tiwari urged for unity within the Hindu community to combat external and internal challenges, emphasizing the importance of preserving Sanatan Dharma, the soul of the nation.

Additionally, Patron Neeraj Singh highlighted the historic significance of this year’s Ram Navami Mahotsav, following the construction of the grand temple in Ayodhya, expressing confidence in garnering support from the district administration.

The meeting concluded with a comprehensive discussion on the success and magnificence of the upcoming festival, with valuable suggestions offered by the Chairman and members of the Akhara Committee.

The event saw the attendance of hundreds of members, including prominent figures such as Bhishma Singh, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, and Dharmendra Prasad, reaffirming their commitment to making the Ram Navami Mahotsav a resounding success.
