Jamshedpur: Gayatri Parivar observes Guru Purnima at several venues

Jamshedpur, July 3: Gayatri Parivar’s youth cell, Navyug Dal and Pragya Mahila Mandal members celebrated Guru Purnima at five centres of Tatanagar Gayatri Parivar including Gyan Mandir Bhalubasa, Gayatri Mandir Moon City Mango, Sahitya Vistar Kendra Baridih, Nav Chetna Vistar Kendra Govindpur and Gayatri Chetna Kendra Benko on Monday, July 3. Members and devotees paid reverence to Prakhar Pragya Purush, the founder of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar, Vedmurti Taponishtha Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya and offered flowers at the feet of Vandania Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma, the symbol of Sajal Shraddha.

The day is observed and revered to uphold the values of Guru Parampara (tradition).

Havan Yagna was organized at Gayatri Gyan Mandir by the members of Navyug Dal from 7 am during which a large number of devotees were present. Prasad was distributed after the prayer rituals. On July 2, a day before Guru Purnima, the members of Navyug Dal chanted the Gayatri Mahamantra continuously from 4 pm to 6 pm at Gayatri Gyan Mandir Bhalubasa and organized mass prayers.

Bhajans were rendered in the evening. Discussions on the significance and tradition of Guru Purnima were organized at each centre.

An outline of the centenary year celebrations of Vandaniya Mataji and Akhand Jyoti in 1926 was deliberated upon. The centenary programme will be organized under the directives and guidance of Shantikunj Haridwar. Deep Yagna was performed at all the centres from 6 pm.
