Jamshedpur, Sept 18: Shri Ganesh Puja Mahotsav in Kadma, a much-awaited event, is set to kick off from September 19 and continue until October 4, said Puja Committee Chairman, B Anand Rao.
Addressing a press meet on Saturday, Rao informed that this year marks the 105th edition of the Sri Sri Ganesh Puja Mahotsavam.
Ganesh Puja Mahotsavam pandal will be inaugurated on September 18 by former Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
Distinguished guests, including Rajiv Ranjan Singh, former DIG of Kolhan Division, Shekhar Dey, Gunjan Yadav, R Ravi Prasad, Diwakar Singh, Rajesh Singh, and trustees of the organization K Ramana Rao and B Babuji, will grace the occasion.
On September 19, the Kalash installation and life consecration will take place, with Union Minister Arjun Munda as the chief guest and Saryu Rai MLA, Kunal Sharangi, RK Sinha, Amarpreet Singh Kale, AK Srivastava, Vinod Singh, and NV R Murthy as special guests. The evening of September 19 will see the fair’s inauguration by Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato.
Health Minister Banna Gupta, Suman Mahato, former MP, Sabita Mahato MLA, and Tata Workers Union President Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary will be among the prominent guests during the festivities.
A Mahabhandara will be organized for devotees on October 2, followed by the immersion procession on October 4. The procession will commence from Kadma Rankini Temple, proceed via Kadma police station, Gopal Maidan, and Bistupur, ultimately culminating with the immersion of the Ganesh idol in the Kharkai River.
The press conference was also attended by trustees B Babu, M Kanaka Rao, M Shivamani, S Shankar Rao, T Anil Kumar Rao, SNR Naidu, B Prakash Rao, Karthik Rao, and S Venkata Giri.
