Jamshedpur, Sept 16: The police arrested four members of two gangs engaged in vehicle lifting and snatching. Among the arrested suspects were Rishi Dalai and Gaurav Mukhi, residents of Birsa Nagar Zone No 6, associated with one group. The police recovered a stolen scooter and a mobile phone based on the suspects’ leads. Providing details, Rural SP Rishabh Garg stated that on Saturday, the two criminals had stolen a scooter near Jubilee Park and later snatched a mobile phone from a woman in Sidhgora. They were apprehended just five hours after the incident.
The Bagbera Police arrested two members of another gang involved in snatching chains from women in Bagbera. The arrested suspects include Dubraj Kisku and Sukhlal Munda. Police have seized two stolen chains and two live cartridges from them. Rishabh Garg, Rural SP, said that there was a recent incident of chain-snatching from women in Bagbera. One suspect was arrested earlier, who revealed the involvement of Dubraj in the crime. After stealing the chains, he had sold them to Sukhlal. The SP further stated that the arrested suspects would be interrogated to obtain more information.
