Jamshedpur: Four-member committee to inspect Kabristan construction

Jamshedpur, Oct 17: A four member committee of East Singhbhum district administration would visit the Sakchi Kabristan and inspect the ongoing construction on its premises. It would probe into the allegations of illegal construction allegedly being carried out inside the Kabristan with commercial purpose. Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav held a meeting with the committee members who are SDO Dhalbhum Sandeep Kumar Meena, ADM Law and Order NK Lal, ADC Saurav Sinha and JNAC Special Officer Sanjay Kumar. The committee would submit its report within 15 days. Thereafter the DC would take action on the matter, sources said.

The DC also held a meeting with the members of Sakchi Kabristan committee at her office. Probe committee members were also present on this occasion.

No commercial construction at Kabristan: Riyaz Sharif

Jamshedpur, Oct 17: Sakchi Kabristan Committee president Riyaz Sharif Monday said no commercial construction was going on inside the Kabristan premises. He also said that madarasa and coaching institutes are also not being built there. He said ‘Vajookhana’ and ‘Janaza Hall’ are being constructed there for Namaz. He said the Kabristan gate was widened to accommodate rising number of visitors. “There are three gates of the Kabristan. They are always open. Gates at the back side are always closed. The gates are wide to allow entry to large vehicles such as vehicles used for repair of high-mast lamps,” he said.
