Jamshedpur Flower Show kicks off at Gopal Maidan

Flowers symbolize freshness in life: Chanakya Chaudhary

Jamshedpur: The 33rd Flower Show, organized by the Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur, was inaugurated by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, at Gopal Maidan on Saturday, marking the beginning of a four-day event. The entry fee to the show is Rs 10.

Commending the efforts of the Horticultural Society, Chaudhary stated Flower Show is not just an exhibition but an opportunity to learn. He emphasized that flowers symbolize freshness in life and urged everyone to emulate the resilience of flowers.

He highlighted the importance of living life to the fullest and embracing every color of life, drawing parallels with the vibrant spectrum of flowers. Tata Steel VP encouraged the audience to live in a manner that ensures their usefulness endures beyond their time on earth.

The theme for the 33rd Annual Flower show is,” Khushal ho Prakriti aur Ghar Sansar, Jab Hum Laye Phoolon Ki Bahar”.

The exhibition features a variety of displays, including seasonal flowers, bonsai, vegetables, innovative products, and a diverse range of plants.

The show is also hosting 33 nurseries, allowing visitors to make purchases.

Approximately 780 artists will participate in Sit and Draw competitions, and numerous exhibitions will be organized. Additionally, 25 counters, 14 Pan-India stalls, and 12 food stalls will be present.

Technical sessions on December 24 and 25 will cover topics like seasonal flower cultivation, vegetable and kitchen gardening techniques, smart gardening technology, and pest and nutrition management for plants.

Organized by the Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur in collaboration with Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL the show will continue till December 26.

The event showcases a myriad of colorful flowers and innovative gardening techniques. Additionally, cultural programs are organized during the show, providing an opportunity for nature lovers in the city to indulge in the beauty of flora and celebrate the joy of gardening.
