Jamshedpur, June 25 : Adityapur police have arrested five minors who demanded extortion within six hours of a written complaint by the shopkeepers of Dindli market. Weapons have also been recovered from them. Everyone is being questioned.
With this, the promise made by the station in-charge to the shopkeepers of Dindli market was fulfilled.
Incidentally, on Saturday night some people had entered Prem Vastralaya located in Dindli Bazar and demanded extortion showing arms.
Frightened by this incident, the shopkeepers had requested the police for protection on Sunday morning. Taking the matter seriously, station in-charge Rajan Kumar assured to arrest the accused.
Within a few hours of the incident, station in-charge Rajan Kumar along with his officers laid siege to Adityapur Muslim Basti and nabbed the five accused from different parts and also recovered a sharp weapon at their instance.
