Jamshedpur, July 1. The Gudabanda police have got success in the case of theft of road safety metal barrier on the Gudabanda-Pitajudi main road in East Singhbhum district.
Under the leadership of station in-charge Parvez Alam, the police have arrested five accused and sent them to jail on Saturday.
Among these accused, two accused are residents of Dhalbhumgarh police station area and three are residents of Bahragora police station area. Among the arrested accused, Praveer Mahto and Kanchan Mahto are residents of village Chatro Kokpada, Dhalbhumgarh police station while Doma Karmakar, Chunu Baske and Raj Kumar are residents of Hansda village Mudhakati Bahragoda.
According to the police, the accused were caught near the Bhakhar Canal Bridge last night and six piece metal beam crash barrier has been recovered at the instance of the accused. Also, a Pulsar and a Hornet bike along with tools have also been seized from the spot.
