Jamshedpur, Nov 24: Jugsalai Police showcased swift and commendable action by cracking the recent firing case within just six hours.

The police have arrested recently released criminal Sunny Singh alias Sunny Singh Sardar (24) and his associate Rocky Mishra (28), who have now been remanded to judicial custody. Meanwhile, searches are ongoing to nab the three absconding accused—Rahul Singh alias Antim Pai (Chhaparhiya Mohalla), Sujal Kumar Gupta (near Jugsalai Water Tank), and Abhishek Kumar alias Azad Giri (Bagmara Bajrang Tekri).

Addressing a press conference, City SP Kumar Shivashish informed that police recovered a loaded country-made pistol and two live cartridges based on the accused’s confession. During investigation, it was revealed that Sunny Singh, after being released from jail, was attempting to form his own criminal gang and assert dominance in the area through violent acts.

Police said the motive behind the firing stemmed from Sunny’s resentment towards local criminal Deepak Singh, who allegedly did not support Sunny’s family during his jail term. To settle scores and spread fear, Sunny and his associates fired at Deepak Singh’s residence and issued direct threats to eliminate him.

Sunny Singh has an extensive criminal history with six serious cases, including murder, registered against him. Meanwhile, Rocky Mishra is also involved in multiple cases, including attempted murder. Police officials assured that the remaining accused will soon be arrested, and the entire gang network will be dismantled to ensure peace in the region.
