Jamshedpur FC Trains 30 Grassroots Coaches to Strengthen Football Development

Jamshedpur, July 5: Jamshedpur FC concluded the third batch of its grassroots coaching workshop for Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) coaches at the Tata Football Academy (TFA), with 30 coaches completing the programme.

The workshop brought together coaches from Tata Steel Foundation’s football centres across Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. It combined practical on-field training with classroom sessions, focusing on modern coaching methods, player development and age-specific training techniques to improve grassroots football.

The programme was conducted by Jamshedpur FC’s technical team as part of the club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots football and equip coaches with the skills needed to develop young talent.

Tata Steel Foundation currently operates nearly 100 football centres, providing training to more than 1,000 children. Several players representing Jamshedpur FC’s youth teams have emerged from these centres, highlighting the importance of quality coaching at the grassroots level.

Speaking after the workshop, Arshad Hussain praised the enthusiasm shown by the participants and said the club remains committed to empowering grassroots coaches through modern training methods. He added that more such workshops will be organised to create a stronger pathway for young footballers to progress to the professional level.
