Chaibasa: New ₹2.56 Crore PCC Road to Connect Ulizhari Power Grid and Chimihatu Chowk

Chaibasa: A long-standing demand of local residents is finally being fulfilled. A new PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) road will soon be constructed from the Ulizhari Power Grid to Chimihatu Chowk under the Sadar block of the Chaibasa assembly constituency.

The infrastructure project, estimated to cost approximately ₹2.56 crore, is being executed by the Rural Development Special Division Department and funded through the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) fund.

Foundation Stone Laid by Cabinet Minister Deepak Birua

State cabinet minister Deepak Birua laid the foundation stone for the road construction on Sunday. “Developing the Chaibasa assembly constituency is my top priority. We are executing development works in a phased manner.” — Deepak Birua, Cabinet Minister

A Wave of Joy Among Locals

For years, villagers had been grappling with a severely dilapidated road, making daily commuting a hassle. News of the approved road construction sparked joy across the community.

Boosting Local Economy and Connectivity

Speaking to the project’s impact, Birua emphasized that improved connectivity is the backbone of rural development. “Once this road is completed, it will significantly ease transportation. Better roads unlock the development potential of an area and pave the way for small-scale employment opportunities for the youth,” he added.

The minister instructed the department and contractors to maintain high-quality standards and ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.
