Jamshedpur, Sept 10: In a thrilling pre-season friendly match held at the Flatlets Training Ground in Kadma, Jamshedpur FC emerged victorious with a score of 1-0 against NorthEast United FC.
The Men of Steel entered the match with a strong desire to secure a victory, having faced two defeats against Sreenidi Deccan FC and Bengaluru FC in Hyderabad. The game initially had moments of quiet, but it soon burst to life with the introduction of players like Rei Tachikawa and Mohammed Sanan, injecting renewed energy into the Jamshedpur FC team.
The decisive goal came just before the final whistle, with Thongkhosiem Haokip finding the back of the net after an impressive build-up involving Sanan and Ricky Lallawmawma.
This pre-season encounter served as excellent preparation for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 campaign. Jamshedpur FC is scheduled to kick off their season on September 25, when they face East Bengal in an away match.
