Jamshedpur FC GM Attends Durand Cup Trophy Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan
New Delhi, July 7: Jamshedpur FC General Manager Prashant Godbole represented the club at the official unveiling and flagging off of the Durand Cup 2026 trophies by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
The ceremony marked the formal unveiling of the three trophies of the 135th edition of Asia’s oldest football tournament, with club representatives, senior officials of the Indian Armed Forces and tournament organisers in attendance. President Murmu unveiled the three iconic Durand Cup trophies and flagged them off on their nationwide tour ahead of the start of the competition.
Jamshedpur FC will compete in Group C of the 135th Durand Cup alongside Defenders FC of Sri Lanka, Sporting Club Delhi and Indian Air Force Football Team. The Men of Steel will play all their group-stage matches at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi.
The club will begin its campaign against Defenders FC on July 26 at 5 PM before taking on Sporting Club Delhi on August 4 at 4 PM. Jamshedpur FC will conclude the group stage against Indian Air Force Football Team on August 13 at 4 PM.
The 135th edition of the Durand Cup will be held from July 25 to August 23, with the top team from each group and the two best second-placed teams advancing to the knockout stage. Ranchi will serve as one of the host cities, bringing one of India’s most prestigious football tournaments to Jharkhand once again.
