Jamshedpur: Shivam Ghosh (23), son of alleged liquor mafia Munna Ghosh, was critically injured in a firing incident on Bistupur Dhatkidih Main Road on Wednesday afternoon.
At 1:07 pm, bike and scooty-borne assailants fired six rounds at Shivam, hitting him in the left eye, throat and chest. He writhed in pain for ten minutes before being rushed to TMH hospital in a tempo.

Family members accused Shivam’s former school classmates—Surya, Shibu and Manoj—of planning the attack. CCTV footage confirmed a premeditated attack. “The attackers were his schoolmates from KPS. We don’t know the reason, but they carried out the crime with outside help,” said Munna Ghosh.
Following the incident, angry family members blocked Dhatkidih Main Road and clashed with police. The situation was brought under control and police assured swift arrests.
Doctors have given the family 48 hours before transferring Shivam to Kolkata for advanced treatment. Police have collected blood samples, shells and personal belongings from the scene.
