Eye-Care Center to get fire hydrant system

Jamshedpur, Dec. 2: Known for providing best eye-care services to patients coming from far and near, Jamshedpur Eye Hospital (JEH) a super-specialty Eye-Care Center will soon boast of new facilities.
Eye-Care Center which renders best services to citizens in and around Jamshedpur at an affordable cost so that people would not go out of Jamshedpur for specialized eye treatment has from time to time strived to achieve its prime objective by continuous improvements in knowledge, technology, best practices and augmenting necessary infrastructure
In keeping with its objective, ground breaking ceremony on Thursday marked the occasion to begin the construction of two infrastructure projects- Pre-Operative Check-Up (POC) Wing and Phase III Renovation.
Chief Guest for the occasion Ruchi Narendran, President JEH did the honours in presence of Guest of Honour Rakeshwar Pandey, President, JEH Union.
Dr SP Jakhanwal, Secretary & Superintendent JEH welcomed the guests and briefly highlighted the necessities of twin projects.

Once completed the Pre-Operative Check-Up (POC) Wing will provide all facilities under one roof for “Sample Collection for Pathological Tests” and “Physician/ Anesthetist Check-ups” within hospital premises. This will help JEH to maintain hospital’s Pre-Operative protocols strictly and benefit Hospital’s Camp and Ayushman patients. During COVID period, to decongest Hospital’s OPD Waiting area, this facility was moved to the First Floor. Now with this new initiative, a separate ‘POC Wing’ on Ground Floor will be built to enable convenience to patients and smooth flow of Hospital’s activities and is expected to be completed by February 2022.
Under the Phase III renovation of Jamshedpur Eye Hospital and as per the master plan, JEH will further renovate the administrative and academic wings.

It was also announced that in next few months Fire Hydrant system will be installed in hospital as per statutory Fire Advisory from Government of Jharkhand.
