The Ranchi Meteorological Centre, under the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), has issued an alert for early morning fog, which is expected to blanket most parts of Jharkhand in the next 72 hours.

Met data reveals that the minimum temperature in Ranchi and its adjoining areas has plummeted to 10 degrees Celsius, while Jamshedpur and its surroundings recorded a minimum of 11 degrees Celsius. Bokaro, Chaibasa, and Deoghar experienced a minimum temperature of approximately 9 degrees Celsius, with Ramgarh and Garhwa recording around 8.5 degrees Celsius.

The dry and crisp weather is expected to endure in the coming days, driven by dominating north-westerly currents. Residents are advised to brace for the cold spell and exercise caution, particularly during early morning commutes, due to the forecasted fog. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and urging the public to stay informed about the evolving weather conditions.
