Jamshedpur: In a bid to undertake crucial developmental works in the Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway, a series of train regulations and diversions have been announced, impacting the travel plans of passengers during the specified period.
Short Termination/Origination of Trains: The Puri-Barbil-Puri Express (18416/18415) will undergo short termination at/short origination from Kendujhargarh. This modification is slated to be in effect from 16th December 2023 to 25th December 2023. Passengers relying on this route are advised to plan their journeys accordingly during this period.
Diversion of Trains:The 20816 Visakhapatnam-Tatanagar Express, scheduled to commence its journey on 17th and 24th December 2023, will be diverted via Cuttack-Dhenkanal-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda.
“The diversion has been carefully planned to ensure minimal disruption for passengers. We acknowledge the inconvenience caused and appreciate the cooperation of our travelers during this period of necessary infrastructure development,” stated a South Eastern Railway spokesperson.
Similarly, the 20815 Tatanagar-Visakhapatnam Express, embarking on its journey on 18th and 25th December 2023, will follow a diverted route via Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City-Angul-Dhenkanal-Cuttack.
“The temporary changes in routes are imperative for the ongoing developmental projects in the Chakradharpur Division. We understand the significance of these train services for our passengers and are committed to ensuring a smooth transition during this period,” assured an official of Chakradharpur Division.
