Jamshedpur, Sept 23: The pathetic road condition of the Burmamines Rail Over Bridge (ROB) from the Tatanagar Station entry gate in Burmamines to the Sankata Singh Petrol Pump Chowk along the Station-Jugsalai Road has been the bane of commuters over a considerable period of time. Pock-marked with crater-like cracks, this stretch of road over the ROB has become more accident prone with rain waters making it almost impossible to differentiate between safe patches and camouflaged wide-jawed cracks.
Former Zila Parishad Vice President Rajkumar Singh, Ghaghidih BJP Mandal President Sandeep Sharma and BJP Kisan Morcha District President Nitish Kumar met the Executive Engineer of the Road Construction Department, Deepak Sahay urging him to commence the road repairs of the Burmamines-Tatanagar Station (Sankata Singh Petrol Pump Chowk) across the ROB at the earliest. The Executive Engineer assured that the repair job would start in right earnest once the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the rail authorities was received.
Rajkumar Singh has already initiated the process for obtaining the NOC from the rail authorities concerned. In addition, BJP leader Rajkumar Singh has also written a letter to Tata Steel VP (Corporate Services) Chanakya Choudhary, seeking support for getting the Burmamines ROB road repaired. (w/gsd)
