Jamshedpur, April 13: The malnutrition treatment centre (MTC) of East Singhbhum has been adjudged the top performer among the total 96 MTCs functional in the 26 districts of Jharkhand.
As per the quarterly performance ranking worked out for the financial year 2021-22, the East Singhbhum MTC has achieved 112 per cent score. The MTC in Chakradharpur (West Singhbhum) has been adjudged second while Chaibasa MTC has been ranked three. Mahagama MTC in Godda has been ranked fourth while Ghatsila MTC has been ranked fifth, sources said.
The survey was conducted by the health, medical education and family welfare department of Jharkhand government. Bed occupancy rate and cure rate were the main criteria for ranking of MTCs. The average recovery rate of the state is 78 per cent and the bed occupancy rate is 49 per cent.
