Jamshedpur: Deputy Municipal Commissioner Directs Urgent Improvements in Sanitation Services

Jamshedpur: A crucial meeting on cleanliness and sanitation was held under the chairmanship of

Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar with cleaning contractors and employees of Cube Company. The meeting focused on improving sanitation services in the Mango Municipal Corporation area, with strict instructions issued to enhance cleaning operations.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the current state of cleanliness,  Krishna Kumar directed Cube Company to submit a route chart of all cleaning vehicles and tippers within two days. He also emphasized the need for immediate repairs of damaged cleaning vehicles, stating, “6 to 7 vehicles remain inoperative, which hampers the cleaning process. They must be repaired within a week and put to use.” Further, Cube Company was instructed to provide a list of active cleaning workers and ensure sufficient manpower, focus on IEC (Information, Education & Communication) activities to raise public awareness about cleanliness and submit a clarification regarding the current inefficiencies in the cleaning system.

Cleaning contractors were also directed to personally inspect their assigned areas and supervise the on-ground cleaning operations. The proprietor of the cleaning contractor was specifically asked to visit the municipal corporation area and oversee the sanitation work. Present at the meeting were Assistant Municipal Commissioner  Arvind Prasad Agarwal, Nodal Officer  Dineshwar Yadav and other key officials. The

Deputy Municipal Commissioner set a one-week deadline for visible improvements in sanitation, warning of strict action if necessary measures were not taken immediately.
