Jamshedpur: Demand for new Karbala raised in Muharram Meeting

Jamshedpur: A significant meeting of the Azadnagar Police Station Peace Committee and licensees of the Muharram Akhara in the Azadnagar Police Station area was convened at the auditorium of Azad Marriage Hall, focusing on preparations for the Muharram festival 2024. The meeting was graced by Assistant Municipal Commissioner Aqib Javed, City Manager of Mango Municipal Corporation Kunal Kumar, and Manish Rai from the Azadnagar Police Station area, who were present as chief guests. Licensee Shamsher Alam extended a warm welcome to Assistant Municipal Commissioner Aqib Javed on behalf of the licensees.

Razi Naushad, a senior member of the peace committee, shared insights on the significance of celebrating the Muharram festival. All licensees of the Muharram Akhara expressed their gratitude for the consistent support received over the years from officials such as the officer of Mango Municipal Corporation, the in-charge of the Azadnagar police station, and JE of the electricity department, Amir Hamza Adhikari. They highlighted that the Muharram festival has been celebrated with immense enthusiasm in the Azadnagar police station area, leading to recognition and accolades from the district administration on multiple occasions.

During the meeting, the licensees made a heartfelt request to the sub-divisional officer to arrange for a designated space to cool the flowers and Tazia materials brought from Karbala on Navami and Dashami for all licensees of the Azadnagar police station area. The meeting was expertly conducted by Mukhtar Alam Khan of the Azadnagar Police Station Peace Committee, with prominent attendees including Haji Jameel, Asgar Mohammad, Qasim Khan, Mohammad Sajjad, Abdul Hameed, and others.
