Jamshedpur, March 18: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Amit Kumar Monday convened a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He sought updates on the availability of basic civic amenities at the various polling booths across the district. He directed the officials concerned to make sure that all booths have basic amenities by 31st March. He said a physical verification of the facilities should be done by the officials and a report of the same should be made available to the district administration.
The DC said furniture should be provided to schools lying vacant after merger with other schools.
Today�s meeting was also attended by SSP Anoop Birtharay, DDC B Maheshwari, Deputy Returning Officer, all BDOs and COs.
