Jamshedpur: Acting firmly to uphold the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, the Deputy Commissioner, Ananya Mittal, has directed all private schools to ensure 100% enrollment of selected children under reserved category seats in entry-level classes within the next three days. Strict action will be taken against schools delaying the admission process.
As per the data shared by the District Administration, 726 out of 1303 selected children have been enrolled so far under the RTE quota for the academic session 2025–26 in private schools across the district. The remaining 577 children are still awaiting admission, prompting the administration to issue a final directive to school authorities.
The Deputy Commissioner has made it clear that any further delay will be investigated by the office of the District Education Superintendent, and appropriate action will be taken against non-compliant institutions. Schools have been asked to treat this matter with urgency and ensure the right to education is not denied to any eligible child.
In addition, parents and guardians have been advised to check the status of their child’s admission using their application number and contact details by visiting the following official links:https://forms.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring inclusive and equitable education for all children, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. The RTE Act mandates that 25% of seats in entry-level classes in private schools be reserved for children from disadvantaged groups and weaker sections.
