Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi strengthened administrative responsiveness by hosting the weekly Public Grievance Redressal Day at the Collectorate. People from various blocks and urban areas arrived to voice their complaints and demands directly to the district head.
Citizens submitted a large number of petitions covering a wide range of issues. The Deputy Commissioner listened to each case and issued clear directives to departmental officials to ensure the timely, transparent, and quality disposal of all applications. He warned that the administration would hold officials accountable for any unnecessary delays in matters of public interest.
Diverse Issues Raised
The session highlighted the diverse challenges facing district residents, including:

Housing & Land: Pending Abua Awas payments, land disputes, and land mutation issues.

Education: Complaints against private school fee hikes, BPL quota admissions, and fee waivers.

Social Welfare: Support for single women, ration card issuance, and promotions for Sahayikas to Sevika posts.

Urban Concerns: Encroachment removal, building plan deviations, and the construction of approach roads.

Finance: Delays in honorarium disbursal and rent fixation.
Taking a firm stand on efficient governance, Satyarthi directed all departments to monitor pending cases regularly. He emphasized that officials must handle issues concerning vulnerable and marginalized sections with the utmost sensitivity and urgency.
The Deputy Commissioner noted that the Public Grievance Redressal Day serves as a vital bridge between the administration and the people, ensuring the district addresses citizens’ concerns effectively.
