Marwari Community Felicitates Civic Body Election Winners in Jamshedpur

 

Jamshedpur: On Tuesday evening at Agrasen Bhawan, Sakchi, the Marwari Samaj Jamshedpur and its affiliated organizations warmly welcomed and felicitated the winners of the recent civic body elections. The ceremony honored Sudha Gupta, the first Mayor of Mango Municipal Corporation, Manoj Chaudhary, President of Seraikela Municipal Council, Indu Sharma, Councilor from Chakulia, and four Jugsalai Municipal Councilors—Satyanarayan Agarwal, Anil Modi, Suresh Sharma, and Shilpi Tapadia. Former Minister Banna Gupta graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The program began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting, followed by a welcome bhajan by Mahabir Agarwal. Prominent community members, including Nirmal Kabra, Ashok Gupta, Naresh Modi, and others, honored the winners with traditional Rajasthani turbans, shawls, bouquets, and mementos. Women’s wings and various organizations of the Marwari Samaj also presented Angavastras and bouquets to the dignitaries.

The felicitation event, jointly anchored by Umesh Shah and Ashok Modi, saw a large gathering of community leaders and members. Key contributors to the program included Naresh Agarwal, Shankar Lal Agarwal, Pramod Khanna, Mohit Shah, and Gaurav Jawanpuria. Prominent attendees included Murlidhar Kedia, Ramesh Agarwal, Shyam Sundar Khemani, Santosh Khetan, and others, alongside a significant number of community members such as Vijay Agarwal, Mahabir Agarwal (Mango), Vijay Khemka, Jaya Dokania, Lata Agarwal, and Kamal Kishore Agarwal. The event highlighted the Marwari community’s tradition of recognizing leadership and fostering goodwill among civic representatives.
