Jamshedpur DC asks corporate houses to build 100-bedded COVID Care Centres

Jamshedpur, Aug 17: In view of rising cases of COVID in the city, the administration asked corporate houses to lend support to the administration. Separate meetings were held at Ravindra Bhawan, Sakchi Auditorium today, with corporate representatives and representatives of the hospital’s private nursing home operator under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar. In the meeting, it was discussed how the corporate houses can lend support in fighting Covid-. The district administration has urged all the companies to provide funds fixed under CSR to fight collectively in the fight against Covid-19. The Deputy Commissioner said that with the cooperation made under CSR, the district administration will be able to reimburse the honorarium and other requirements of oxygen concentration, ambulance, medical kit, additional health care workers.

During the meeting corporate house representatives were directed by the Deputy Commissioner to ensure construction of a 100-bed Covid Care Center under its areas so that unnecessary pressure is not imposed on the dedicated Covid Hospital and Covid Care Centre as identified by the district administration.

Instructions were given for the employment of migrant labourers in local companies and strict instructions were given to all to ensure compliance of the guidelines issued by the State Government and Ministry of Health in the field of prevention of Corona virus infection. Besides, it was also directed to organize regular health camps in the area. The Deputy Commissioner said that all the companies should not send their employees returning from leave on unnecessary leave, if the matter is suspected, then Covid-19 should be investigated. The Deputy Commissioner said that the accountability of all of us is that our collective efforts are in one direction only then we can stand up to and fight against the epidemic like Coronavirus. Additional Deputy Commissioner Saurav Kumar Sinha, District Transport Officer Dinesh Ranjan, representatives of 17 companies attended the meeting.
