Jamshedpur, April 7: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav chaired a meeting with the religious heads and other representatives of the Muslim community to seek their cooperation in peaceful conduct of Ramnavami procession.
The DC appealed to those present to coordinate with the district administration in its efforts to maintain law and order in the city. She said the Imams and other religious heads should motivate members of all age groups to help the administration maintain harmony in the society. She said information regarding any untoward incident should be immediately passed on to the district administration so that timely action may be taken to contain the situation.
ADM (Law and Order) Nand Kishore Lal was also present at the meeting. He said adequate security arrangements had been made in the city in view of the festival. CCTV cameras, drones and video recording would help the administration keep a close watch on hooligans and anti-social elements, he said.
The ADM said a special vigil would be kept on youngster performing student on bikes.
Also present at the meeting, SDO Dhalbhum said the cooperation of all communities was must to ensure peaceful conduct of Ramnavami procession.
