Jamshedpur, April 2: India is once again witnessing a steep increase in COVID-19 cases and Jamshedpur has also seen a surge recently. Bearing in mind the situation, the district administration has appealed the citizens of the city to take adequate precaution such as wearing of masks in public places and maintaining social distance. Suraj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum has also appealed for plasma donation. Stating that the East Singhbhum chapter of the Indian Red Cross Society is continuously making efforts in blood donation and also plasma donation, Suraj Kumar has requested all eligible donors to donate plasma so as to enable patients to get plasma in time. He also stressed the need for adherence to strict COVID-19 guidelines so that situation does not go out of hand and the virus could be contained. Incidentally, the Indian Red Cross Society has arranged for 4 plasma donations in the last two days which helped COVID-19 patients get the required plasma.
