Jamshedpur, Dec 6: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum District Returning Officer Ravi Shankar Shukla declared 7th December as holiday on Friday. He said the employees of all government undertakings, establishments and institutions would be entitled to paid leave on the polling day. The voters employed in businesses, trade, industrial units and other offices will be entitled to holiday on polling day. No curtailment of wages will be allowed and those not following the directive will be liable to prosecution, said the DC�s order.
The DC also ordered closure of all cinemas, malls, shops and commercial establishments on polling day.
