Jamshedpur: Criminals loot Rs 20,000 from Mango woman at Sakchi

Jamshedpur, Feb 23: Two bike-borne youths snatched cash worth Rs 20,000 from a woman in front of MGM Hospital under Sakchi police station area on Wednesday.

Sources said the incident took place in broad day light when the victim, Shama Parveen, was returning home with her husband Firoz Imam from Sakchi market. Residents of Cross Road No 10, Zakirnagar, Mango, the couple was passing by the entrance gate of the government hospital on a scooty when the culprits came near them. One of the culprits snatched the purse from the hands of Shama Parveen. The woman fell down from the two-wheeler and got seriously injured. Before long, the culprits decamped towards Mango.

“We shouted for help but no one came forward to help us,” said Imam who came to Jamshedpur just 15 days back from Qatar.
