Jamshedpur: In Golmuri Bazar, a youth who tried to snatch a mobile from a woman on Saturday evening was caught and beaten up fiercely by the local people. At the same time, a young man managed to escape from the spot. Local people handed over the youth to the police. The police also raided and apprehended the other accused. The names of the arrested thieves are Asif Khan and Salman Ansari. Asif is a resident of Old Purulia while Salman is a resident of Jawahar Nagar. In connection with the case, police station in-charge Arvind Kumar said that the woman along with her husband Karandeep Singh had come to get her child vaccinated at a medical store in Golmuri market.
In the meantime, the two young men of Scooty came and tried to snatch the woman’s mobile by swooping. Currently, preparations are being made to send both of them to jail.
