Jamshedpur Crime: Theft case registered in Parsudih PS after 19 days of incident

Jamshedpur, June 15:  Iron material and other stock worth Rs 1.10 lakh was stolen from the premises of Metal Om Technical Ltd in Rahargora Sharma Tola under Parsudih police station on May 28. According to reports, the lock was broken open by the thieves who took away the material stocked inside the company premises.

It took the company guards 19 days to report the incident of theft. On getting the report of the theft, Parsudih police got to work and started investigation to track the thieves.

The police stated that according to the report of the incident filed in Parsudih PS, when one of the company’s guards, Ram Kailash Tiwari reported for duty on May 28, he found the lock of the company gate broken and found that iron and other stocks in the Metal Om Technical Ltd missing. The guard informed the company’s proprietor of the theft. The next day, May 29, when Ram Kailash Tiwari reported for duty, he spotted three to four purported thieves hanging around the company premises. Tiwari, the guard stated that he could not recognize the thieves. However, in course of the investigation, the police found that the alleged thieves were local residents. While the police were on the investigation trail based on output of informers, reports on the theft mentioned that four-wheelers had been used to carry away the company’s stocks.
