Jamshedpur, Aug 4: The court of Additional District Judge 2 Abhas Kumar Verma sentenced one Sonu Mishra to life imprisonment for murdering Sourabh Suman Jha of Olidih. It also slapped a fine of Rs 60,000 on the convict.
Earlier the court had convicted Sonu Mishra on 28th July under Section 201 and 302 of IPC and Arms Act.
The murder dates back to 30th April 2020 when the car of Sonu Mishra collided with the scooty of Sourabh Suman Jha, a priest at a temple in Dimna, near a turning point in Olidih. After a heated exchange of words, Mishra alleged went home and came back with a pistol in his hand. He fired a shot on Jha, which hit the latter in his neck. Jha was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
