Jamshedpur, Aug 20: The court of Additional District Judge-I here on Saturday sentenced Palvinder Singh, proprietor of medicine shop M/S Dashmesh Enterprises, Dimna Road, to 12 years of rigorous imprisonment for reportedly selling narcotic drugs. It also slapped a fine of Rs 2 lakh on him. It further directed him to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh for a period of two years.
A team led by Drug Inspector Kunj ihari had raided Palvinder’s shop on 22nd March 2021 and seized 5244 tablets of a banned narcotic drug from there. A case was lodged against Palvinder under NDPS Act. He was convicted under Section 22C of NDPS Act on 17th August last.
