Jamshedpur Crime: Cash and valuables worth several lakh stolen from Dimna Road flats

Jamshedpur, July 12: Thieves wreaked havoc in Vijaya Earth Green at Dimna Road late Monday night. They took away cash and valuables worth several lakh from two flats in the said colony, sources said.

Sources said the thieves targeted flat number 632 and 621 as they were locked and the house owners were out of town. The thieves stole cash worth Rs 1 lakh from the first flat which is inhabited by the cashier and another employee of Sanjeev Netralaya, Dimna Road. They stole cash and valuables worth Rs 10 lakh from the other flat belonging to retired bank officer Amal Kumar Patra. They entered the flats by cutting the latch with sharp equipments, sources said.

Police reached the colony on getting intimation about the thefts from the residents. They said they were waiting for a written complaint from the flat owners.
