Jamshedpur Crime: Arms recovered in altercation at Golmuri

Jamshedpur, June 30: Golmuri police recovered a pistol reportedly dropped at the scene of an alleged altercation between two persons in Golmuri Muslim Basti on Thursday.

Sources said one Mohammad Furkan had pulled a gun at his neighbour Nadeem and his brother over an old dispute.

During the struggle, Furkan’s pistol fell on the ground and it was handed over to police by Nadeem.

Nadeem said he had a tiff with Furkan over the issue of parking his car on the main road. He said he had gone to Furkan’s house today to enquire about the incident of smashing of window scree of his car last night.

Irked over the allegations, Furkan went inside and allegedly came back with a gun in his hand. The pistol was locked and hence it could not fire, he said.
