Jamshedpur Covid-19 tally crosses 51,000 mark, 1 death takes toll to 1,043

City records 48 positives, 61 recoveries

Jamshedpur, June 9:  Active Covid-19 cases in the district dropped down to 795 after 61 patients were discharged from hospitals and Covid care centres on Wednesday.  Of the 795 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals. 

Meanwhile, Jamshedpur reported 48 new cases, which took its overall tally to 51,006.

More than 3600 were tested on the day. Jamshedpur also recorded 1 death due to the infection as the Steel City continued to recover from the second surge of the coronavirus. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 1.33%.City also saw 61 people recover of the virus while it also registered 1 coronavirus-related deaths. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.

The overall death toll in the East Singhbhum  has reached 1043 and the total cases 51006. 

The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 1.33 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 3600 tests in the last 24 hours. The Steel City tested 3618 samples, of which, 48 turned out positive while 61 people recovered from the Covid-19 on Wednesday, June 9.

Meanwhile, 1 deaths were recorded in the same duration. The continuous high number of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 1.33 per cent, the government data showed.

The recovery rate has climbed to 96.49% while the active cases have come down to 795.

61 positive people recovered of the virus on Wednesday pushing the recovery mark to 49168.

Deaths due to the virus continue to be sign of worry as 1 person succumbed due to Covid on Wednesday, June 9, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.

City reported 1 death on Wednesday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 51006. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Wednesday, 1 fatality was due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 1043. 

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 366542 test per million in the district. 

As per the records of health department  out of 3618 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 48 were found positive.

Over 3600 COVID-19 tests, including 609 RT-PCR and 2557 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.

The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 96.49% while the mortality rate is 2.04%.

So far in Jamshedpur 983721 samples have been collected out of which 975735 have been tested and 924729 have turned out to be negative.
