Jamshedpur, Oct 19: The District and Sessions Court of Jamshedpur, presided by Judge Arvind Kumar Pandey, granted anticipatory bail to a couple accused of defrauding Rs 20 lakh from a man under the pretext of providing a job at Tata Motors. The accused, Jagdamba Singh and his wife Vandana Devi, residents of Golmuri, were granted temporary relief pending investigation.
According to the complaint filed by Gopal Krishna Singh, the accused allegedly took Rs 20 lakh between 2023 and 2025, claiming to have close connections with senior company officials who could secure him a permanent position. When no job materialized and the money was not returned, the victim lodged an FIR at Golmuri police station.
Advocate Gaurav Pathak represented the defense, while Advocate Kunal Kumar appeared for the complainant. The police are continuing their investigation, and further action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
